Competition

Allegro Dance Company travels to many competitions with the “Allegro Competition Troupe” The competition troupe is currently made up of girls and boys from ages 8-16. Our dancers compete in various types of dance such as ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, tap, and lyrical. The troupe undergoes extensive training that teaches them teamwork, classical styles of dance, and how to preform for an audience.

Dancers of the competition troupe are selected by our studio’s artistic director. The members of the troupe meet at various times of the dance week and weekend. They practice with teammates and get one-on-one practice with the artistic director. Our competition troupe is highly demanding and is not for everyone. Only dancers that are dedicated will be accepted for this opportunity.

Recital

Allegro Dance Company has an annual recital every June. This performance is comprised of dances choreographed by our teachers to showcase what the students have learned throughout the dance year. Every year the Artistic Director creates a theme for the performances. In the past our themes have been: Hero’s and Villains, Animal Kingdom, and Classical Fairy Tales.

Nutcracker

Every 2 years Allegro Dance Company showcases the production of “The Nutcracker”. It is a studio tradition that is not only an event for the studio but is also an invitation for the community.
