Our Instructors

Lindsey Knott

Allegro Dance Company’s Artistic Director and Owner since 2016. Lindsey Knott has experience as a choreographer for over 20 years. She has studied under many studios and instructors such as Dance Masters of America Teacher Training School, Florida Dance Masters Intensive Teacher Training School, and the University of Buffalo’s Dance Teacher Training School. With her years of studying dance she teaches several styles such as ballet, pointe, contemporary, jazz, tap, hip-hop, and lyrical.

Classes: Contemporary, Ballet, Tap, Lyrical, Hip-Hop, Jazz, and Pointe.

Lauren Doty

Classes: Ballet Tech. and Adult Ballet

Our original founder of Allegro still teaches several classes. She has been formally trained under Edith and Bill Royal of the Royal Academy of Dance in Florida who were both certified DMA teacher trainers. Mrs. Doty has traveled to many parts of the world andhas experiences different styles of dance as well as their cultures. Her classes not only focus on the fundamentals of dance, but also focus on how to perform on stage. Not only has Mrs. Doty been teaching for over 40 years, but she also has been training instructors for over ten years.

Nancy Jenks

Classes: Senior Pointe, Pre-Pointe

Miss Nacy has been trained at Les Petite Artists and Jordan School of Dance. She has earned a B.A. in Dance from Butler University and later danced with the Colorando Ballet Company. Her teaching style focuses on revival of classical technique and theatrics that tie into her dances. She has been teaching at Allegro for over 15 years and is loved by all her students.

Alley Hall

Classes: K1&1 Ballet and Tap, P1&2 Ballet and Tap, Liturgical

Alley Hall is one of Allegro Dance Companies own former students of 12 years. She has been apart of many of Allegro’s performances such as Nutcracker and has performed several principle roles in it such as Sugar Plum Fairy and the Nutcracker. Alley was also heavy involved in Allegro’s Competition Troupe. She has continued to teach for 3 years children from ages 3 to 18.
